New: Surface and Point-to-point Measurement in a BIM model
BIM models in BIMkeeper include fast and accurate object related information available in the right pane of the screen. Now there is a new feature that allows for measurements with a more freedom. The point-to-point measurement.
Our new tool lets the user measure two selected points on a model within a few clicks.
How to: Start by choosing the point selection tool.
To start a measurement, click in the corner of an object or space where you see the blue dot. After clicking the starting point, navigate to your desired end point and hold "ctrl" on your keyboard and click the blue dot there. You should now see the measurement between your selected points.
Not only is it possible to measure two points, it's also very easy to measure the surface in square meters. As shown in the screenshot below, you can easily measure any shape on the model as long as you connect the dots.
IRP bases all of its web development on the ISO 19650 standard for the development and full lifecycle of buildings. Formerly known as the BSI 1192-X. This standard has now been almost fully implemented in BIMkeeper.
